A collaboration with the poet Matthea Harvey. Of Lamb is an irreverent and irresponsible retelling of the nursery rhyme, “Mary had a little lamb.” In our version, Mary spends time in a madhouse, Lamb favors slippers and the two fall in love and contemplate having half-human half-sheep offspring.
The book, which includes 106 drawings and poems, is available from McSweeney's.
The exhibition of the original drawings was presented at P.P.O.W., New York, June 23 to July 22, 2011.
Drawings are gouache and ink on paper, each 10 x 7 in.
